I know you’ve been locked up for a few years, but it’s nearly over. Canadians will soon be able to travel to any country in the world. If you’re lucky, you’ll have some money tucked away, so you can fly away as soon as possible.
You’ll need to figure out where to go first. Have you been dreaming about a particularly exotic location during lockdown? If not, we’ll look at some options you should consider once the skies are fully open.
1. Australia
It’s worth hiring a luxury campervan when you visit Australia. You’ll be able to visit some of the best natural attractions on the planet. Play with dolphins in Monkey Mia, drive a 4WD around Fraser Island, and cruise the Great Ocean Road.
The Great Barrier Reef is the largest living structure on earth, and you’ll see thousands of fish and coral reef species while diving or snorkeling. If you want to go home with a suntan, you can relax on Bondi Beach.
2. India
According to Nick Kyriacopoulos, investing in yourself is just as important as investing financially. India is a wonderful place to cleanse your body and soul, which you can do through meditation and yoga in magical places.
The Holy City of Varanasi has been around since the 8th century BC, and it is great looking out over the Ganges River. It’s also impossible to visit India without seeing the Taj Mahal or chilling on the beaches of Goa.
3. Thailand
Nicholas Kyriacopoulos recommends Thailand if you’re interested in doing charity work while away. You’ll be able to take toys to kids at orphanages or look after elephants unable to roam free in the wild.
If you love exploring crazy cities, you won’t find one more interesting than Bangkok. You can relax on a tropical island once you’re finished. Once you’ve tasted authentic Thai food, you won’t want to eat anything else again.
4. Italy
Walking around Rome is fantastic if you know lots about Roman history. You can visit the Colosseum where gladiators fought, the place where Julius Caesar was assassinated, and you can take a taxi to explore Vatican City.
Italy has plenty of other attractions you’ll love. A gondola ride down the Grand Canal in Venice feels special. You should experience the Leaning Tower of Pisa before it falls, and don’t miss out on the mind-blowing Cinque Terre.
5. Indonesia
If you want to learn how to surf, you won’t be able to find a better place than Bali. It’s where all the professionals go to practice, but it’s perfect for beginners too. Your money will go incredibly far in Bali.
When you want to take a rest from the beach, you’ll be able to climb up an active volcano. It’s even got places where you can go white water rafting. If you want to holiday in a luxury villa, it won’t break the bank.
