While doing her under graduation, Kolber got her first job at Dynamic Cable as a Sports Director. It is located in Florida. She started her career in this job and lasts for two years. After her graduation in 1986, she shifted to work at CBS Sports. She was a videotape co-coordinator there. In WTVJ-TV, she produced a show to be broadcasted at 5.30 p.m. in Miami. She was doing this job from 1985 to 1989. Then, from 1989-1990, she was a freelance producer for WPLG-TV. From 1988-1991, she worked for two magazine shows such as Greyhound Racing America and Cowboys Special Edition.Â
From 1991 to 1993, she migrated to another job as a sports anchor for weekend sports shows at WPEC-TV. This company is in West Palm Beach, where she also served as a featured reporter. To join ESPN in 1993, she left her previous job at WPEC-TV. During that time, ESPN2 was launched, and she was one of the anchors in the first batch of ESPN2. From 1995-1996, she was an anchor for SportsCenter and NASCAR Countdown.
Later in 1996, she quit working in ESPN to join Fox Sports. Initially, she was the chief host of Fox Sports News. Her parallel work is to cover the NFL games and to submit the report on horse racing.
In 1999, she wanted to work for ESPN again, because of which she hosted both Winter and Summer X Games. She was doing these jobs from 2000-2001. Later on, she became a sideline and field reporter from 2001-2006 for Sunday Night Football. Again she continued her sideline reporting work for Monday Night Football from 2006-2010. With her request, ESPN launched NFL32 in 2011 for which she served as a host. Now, she is working as a producer for Monday Night Football.
