Besides, we can also say that countries like Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central America also follow this time zone. Furthermore, we can assume that more than half of the population of the USA resides in the EST. Right from Northern Canada to Panama around the equator.
In addition, North American Standard timeshares a border with Atlantic Standard time(AST) and Central Standard Time(CST).
Time difference between Melbourne and the US eastern time zone
