Safe Access Platforms
When work moves above the ground floor level in construction, your workers must have safe and secure access platforms to use to reach those higher levels in the building. However, it is always wise to have spare PPE in the site office in case someone forgets something, or you need to show visitors around the site if they want to monitor the progress your team is making. You should also make sure you have fire extinguishers on-site in case there is an emergency. Machinery and tools can overheat or grind on stone and metal, causing sparks, which can then risk a fire. You should also make it clear that the construction site is a strict no-smoking zone, and workers who do want to have a cigarette need to leave the site to do this.
